Target intelligence / Profile preview
Immunoglobulin kappa variable 2-10 (IGKV2-10) is classified as a pseudogene in the locus encoding the variable domain of the kappa light chain in immunoglobulins (antibodies). Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but typically non-functional due to mutations or lack of regulatory elements; thus, IGKV2-10 does not encode a protein product and is not involved in typical antibody antigen recognition or immune signaling. There is no evidence that this pseudogene has any known direct functional or therapeutic relevance, nor is it considered a drug target.
