Immunoglobulin lambda variable (IV)-65 (pseudogene) (IGLVIV-65)

Immunoglobulin lambda variable (IV)-65 is a pseudogene located in the immunoglobulin lambda variable region (IGLV) of human chromosome 22q11.2. Immunoglobulin variable genes in general encode the antigen-binding domains (variable domains) of the immunoglobulin light chains, contributing to the diversity of antibodies generated by B cells. However, IGLVIV-65 (also named IGLV(IV)-65 or V4-9P) is annotated as a pseudogene, meaning that it does not produce a functional immunoglobulin light chain variable region protein and is not involved in normal immune response, antigen recognition, or disease mechanisms. It is not considered a drug target, biomarker, or protein involved in therapeutic interventions.
