Target intelligence / Profile preview
Immunoglobulin lambda variable 2-11 (IGLV2-11) encodes the variable region of the lambda light chain of immunoglobulins, a component of antibodies produced by B lymphocytes. This variable region forms part of the antigen-binding site, which confers specificity to antibody-antigen interactions. IGLV2-11 is integral to the immune system’s ability to recognize a broad array of foreign antigens but is not itself a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, or transporter. Instead, it serves mainly as a structural genetic unit within the immunoglobulin light chain locus, enabling the diversity and specificity of antibody-mediated immune responses[1][2][3][4][5][8].
