Immunoglobulin superfamily member 10 (IGSF10) is a cell surface protein containing immunoglobulin-like domains, belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is involved in early neuronal migration, notably of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neurons, which is essential for sexual development and pubertal timing. Mutations in IGSF10 can disrupt this migration, resulting in delayed puberty and hypothalamic amenorrhea in humans. There is also evidence for its potential role in maintaining precursor bone and cartilage cell populations, which may implicate it in bone formation and development. The gene has several aliases and identifiers in major genetic databases. To date, no approved drugs directly target IGSF10, nor is it in established use as a pharmacogenomic biomarker.
