Target intelligence / Profile preview
Poliovirus type 3 antigen (inactivated) is a purified, inactivated form of the poliovirus type 3, used as a component in the inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV). It stimulates an immune response without causing disease. Upon vaccination, recipients develop neutralizing antibodies against poliovirus type 3. Neutralizing antibodies target specific epitopes on the viral capsid proteins, particularly VP1 and VP2, preventing viral entry into host cells.
Stimulates production of neutralizing antibodies against poliovirus type 3, preventing viral entry into host cells.
