Influenza A H7 hemagglutinin (HA) is a surface glycoprotein essential for viral entry. It mediates attachment to host cells via sialic acid binding and facilitates membrane fusion after endocytosis. H7 HA is a major target for neutralizing antibodies and a key determinant of viral infectivity and pathogenicity. Variations in glycosylation and amino acid sequence contribute to antigenic drift and impact immune recognition.
