The insect juvenile hormone (JH) pathway is a critical endocrine signaling system that regulates development, metamorphosis, reproduction, and other physiological processes in insects. Juvenile hormones are acyclic sesquiterpenoids produced by the corpora allata glands. The JH pathway integrates both genomic and non-genomic mechanisms to control gene expression and cellular responses during key life stages.
