Overview

Integrator complex subunit 8 (INTS8) is a protein encoded by the INTS8 gene and is a core component of the Integrator complex, which is essential for the 3′ end processing of small nuclear RNAs and transcriptional termination of RNA polymerase II transcripts. INTS8 acts as a multifunctional regulator of gene expression by recruiting protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) to modulate transcriptional pause release and maintain transcriptional fidelity.
