Overview

Integrin αVβ5 is a heterodimeric cell surface receptor composed of integrin alpha V (ITGAV) and integrin beta 5 (ITGB5) subunits. It mediates cell adhesion to vitronectin via the RGD motif and participates in endocytosis, signal transduction, and angiogenesis.
