Overview
Integrin alpha4beta7 is a heterodimeric cell surface receptor that mediates lymphocyte homing to gut-associated lymphoid tissue. It plays a central role in mucosal immunity and is a therapeutic target for inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
