Target intelligence / Profile preview
Integrin αvβ6 is a heterodimeric cell surface receptor composed of the αv and β6 subunits. It mediates cell-to-extracellular matrix (ECM) and cell-to-cell adhesion and signal transduction. Its principal function is the activation of latent TGF-β1, influencing cell proliferation, differentiation, angiogenesis, EMT, and immune suppression. It is upregulated in various cancers and fibrotic conditions, making it an attractive therapeutic target.
Antibody-drug conjugates or inhibitors to block αvβ6-mediated TGF‑β activation and downstream signaling pathways.
