Integrin Receptor (N/A)

Target
N/A
Molecular classification
Receptor, Transmembrane receptor
01

Overview

Integrins are a large family of heterodimeric transmembrane receptors that mediate cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix (ECM) and facilitate cell–cell interactions. They are composed of alpha (α) and beta (β) subunits and play critical roles in cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, survival, and mechanotransduction. Dysregulation is implicated in diseases such as cancer metastasis, thrombosis, and inflammation. Therapeutic strategies focus on blocking ligand binding or interfering with activation.
