Interactor of little elongation complex ELL subunit 2 pseudogene 1 (ICE2P1) is a human pseudogene. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences that resemble protein-coding genes but are non-functional; they do not produce functional proteins and typically lack biological activity. ICE2P1 is named for its similarity to the gene encoding a subunit of the little elongation complex, ELL2, but it itself does not appear to be transcribed into a functional protein and is not regarded as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other classical therapeutic target. There is no evidence in scientific literature of this pseudogene participating in drug interactions, acting as a biomarker, or being directly implicated in disease pathology.
