Target intelligence / Profile preview
Interleukin 10 Receptor Alpha (IL10RA) is the high-affinity ligand-binding subunit of the interleukin-10 (IL-10) receptor complex, which mediates the immunosuppressive effects of IL-10. Upon binding to IL-10, IL10RA initiates downstream signaling cascades, primarily through the JAK/STAT pathway, leading to the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the promotion of anti-inflammatory gene expression. Defects in IL10RA are associated with severe early-onset inflammatory bowel disease.
Agonism or antagonism of IL-10 signaling via the IL-10 receptor complex.
