Interleukin 10 receptor beta (IL-10Rβ), also known as IL10RB, is a subunit of the interleukin-10 receptor complex and belongs to the class II cytokine receptor family. It acts as an accessory chain essential for the active interleukin-10 (IL-10) receptor complex and is required for signal transduction by several cytokines, including IL-10, IL-22, IL-26, and type III interferons. It plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses, particularly in suppressing pro-inflammatory signals in mucosal tissues. Defects or mutations can lead to severe inflammatory bowel disease.
