Overview
The Interleukin-12 Receptor Beta 1 Subunit (IL-12Rβ1) is a type I transmembrane protein and a member of the hemopoietin receptor superfamily. It forms receptor complexes with IL-12Rβ2 and IL-23R to bind IL-12 and IL-23, respectively, mediating Th1 and Th17 immune responses. Mutations in IL12RB1 are associated with immunodeficiency and increased susceptibility to mycobacterial and Salmonella infections.
