The Interleukin-17 pathway is a pro-inflammatory signaling cascade initiated by the binding of IL-17 family cytokines (notably IL-17A, IL-17F, and their heterodimers) to their cognate receptors (primarily IL-17RA and IL-17RC), leading to activation of downstream signaling including NF-κB and MAPK pathways. This pathway orchestrates immune responses such as neutrophil recruitment, production of inflammatory mediators and chemokines, and tissue remodeling, playing a central role in host defense as well as in the pathogenesis of numerous inflammatory and autoimmune diseases[1][4][5][6].
