Interleukin 17AF (IL-17AF) is a cytokine heterodimer composed of IL-17A and IL-17F subunits. It is secreted by Th17 cells and plays a crucial role in mediating inflammatory responses by binding to the IL-17RA/IL-17RC receptor complex and activating downstream signaling pathways that lead to the production of pro-inflammatory mediators. It is implicated in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases and other inflammatory conditions.
