Target intelligence / Profile preview
The interleukin-2 (IL-2)-stimulated T cell maturation pathway is a critical signaling cascade initiated by IL-2 binding to its receptor (IL-2R) on T cells. This pathway is essential for T cell proliferation, differentiation, survival, and the development of both effector and regulatory T cell subsets. Dysregulation of this pathway is implicated in autoimmunity, immunodeficiency, and cancer, making it a therapeutic target for immune modulation.
Recombinant IL-2 directly stimulates IL-2 receptors to promote T cell proliferation and activation. JAK inhibitors block downstream signaling from the IL-2 receptor, reducing T cell activation and inflammation.
