Interleukin 20 receptor subunit beta (IL20RB) is a type II cytokine receptor subunit that partners with other subunits (IL20RA or IL22RA1) to form heterodimeric receptors for interleukin-19, interleukin-20, and interleukin-24. These receptor complexes are expressed on epithelial, immune, and organ-resident effector cells and mediate both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory functions through the JAK/STAT signaling pathway. IL20RB-containing receptors play regulatory roles in immunity and tissue homeostasis and are implicated in the development and pathogenesis of multiple inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, glaucoma, and gastrointestinal conditions.
