Interleukin 22 receptor subunit alpha 1 (IL22RA1) is a key component of the interleukin receptor complexes for IL-20, IL-22, and IL-24. It forms heterodimers with other receptor subunits (IL10RB or IL20RB) to mediate signaling upon ligand binding. Activation of IL22RA1 leads to the activation of JAK/STAT, MAPK, and Akt pathways, which regulate immune responses, inflammation, and cell survival. Dysregulation of IL22RA1 has been implicated in inflammatory diseases and metabolic disorders.
Ligand binding induces receptor dimerization and activation of downstream signaling pathways, including JAK/STAT, MAPK, and Akt.
