The interleukin-3 receptor beta chain (βc), also known as CD131, is a common signaling subunit shared by the receptors for interleukin-3 (IL-3), granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), and interleukin-5 (IL-5). It is essential for signal transduction upon ligand binding, leading to downstream activation of pathways such as JAK/STAT, and plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis and immune regulation.
