Interleukin-4 Receptor Alpha Subunit (IL-4Rα)

Target
IL-4Rα
Molecular classification
Cytokine receptor, Type I transmembrane protein
01

Overview

The interleukin-4 receptor alpha subunit (IL-4Rα, also known as CD124) is a type I transmembrane protein that serves as the principal binding component for interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13). It is ubiquitously expressed on both innate and adaptive immune cells and plays a crucial role in regulating humoral immunity and promoting Th2-type immune responses. Dysregulation of IL-4Rα is linked to atopic diseases.
