Intracellular hyaluronan-binding protein 4 (HABP4) is a human protein encoded by the HABP4 gene, located on chromosome 9q22.32. It is a ribosome-binding protein that promotes ribosome hibernation by stabilizing ribosomes in an inactive state, a mechanism important for ribosome preservation, especially in oocytes.
