INTS3 and NABP interacting protein (abbreviated as INIP) is a predicted human protein encoded by the INIP gene[3][5][6]. It is known mainly by its ability to interact with integrator complex subunit 3 (INTS3) and human nucleic acid-binding proteins (hNABP1/2), which are implicated in genome stability and the DNA damage response[1][3]. While INIP forms complexes with INTS3 and hNABP proteins, its specific biochemical and cellular functions are not fully characterized, and there is a lack of evidence that it serves directly as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other canonical therapeutic target class[1][3][5]. Current understanding mainly links INIP to protein-protein interactions involved in DNA repair pathways, and genetically, it has been associated with cervical incompetence[3]. No documented drugs or direct targeting mechanisms are reported for INIP, and it is not a current recognized druggable target.
