Invariant Natural Killer T Cell Cytotoxicity (iNKT Cytotoxicity)

Target
iNKT Cytotoxicity
Molecular classification
Immune Cell Function, Cytotoxicity Mechanism
01

Overview

Invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells are a unique subset of lymphocytes capable of rapid immune responses, including direct cytotoxicity against target cells. iNKT cell cytotoxicity can be divided into three main mechanisms: direct tumor lysis, indirect activation, and regulation of tumor microenvironment. iNKT cell-mediated cytotoxicity plays a pivotal role in anti-tumor immunity and defense against certain infections.
