Target intelligence / Profile preview
Invariant natural killer T cells (iNKT cells) are a unique subset of lymphocytes that bridge innate and adaptive immunity. They display properties of both conventional T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, allowing them to respond rapidly to immune challenges. iNKT cells are defined by their semi-invariant antigen receptor recognizing lipid antigens via CD1d, capable of rapid effector responses that shape both innate and adaptive immunity across multiple tissues.
