Target intelligence / Profile preview
IRDye 800CW is a highly water-soluble, synthetic near-infrared fluorescent dye (excitation: 773–785 nm; emission: 792–803 nm) widely used for labeling antibodies, peptides, and small molecules for imaging applications in vitro, in vivo, and in preclinical studies[1][3][6][7][8]. Its strong NIR fluorescence allows for deep tissue penetration and low background in optical imaging. It is available in reactive forms such as NHS ester or maleimide to enable conjugation to amines or thiols, respectively[3][8]. IRDye 800CW is not itself a therapeutic target, but it is pivotal in research and diagnostics when attached to biomolecules[1][2][3][6][8].
