ITFG1 antisense RNA 1 (ITFG1-AS1)

ITFG1 antisense RNA 1 (ITFG1-AS1), also known as lncRNA-ITFG1, is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) molecule. It is transcribed from the antisense strand of the ITFG1 gene locus and has been implicated in the regulation of various biological processes, especially cell proliferation. As a non-coding RNA, it does not encode a protein and its functional understanding primarily concerns gene expression regulation at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional level. While there is emerging evidence that some lncRNAs can impact cancer biology and other diseases, specific mechanistic and clinical details for ITFG1-AS1 remain limited[9][1][3][7]. There is no current evidence that ITFG1-AS1 acts as a therapeutic target (such as an enzyme, receptor, transporter, or ion channel) or that it is a direct target for any approved or experimental drugs.
