Target intelligence / Profile preview
ITGB5 antisense RNA 1 (ITGB5-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene located on the opposite strand of the ITGB5 gene. As an antisense RNA, ITGB5-AS1 may regulate the expression or function of ITGB5 by transcriptional interference, RNA-RNA interaction, or other epigenetic mechanisms. There are currently no well-characterized biological functions, disease associations, or pharmacological targeting strategies specific to ITGB5-AS1 in the literature. By analogy to other antisense lncRNAs, it may play a role in gene regulation, but further research is required to clarify its significance.
