ITPK1 pseudogene 1 (ITPK1P1) is a non-functional, non-coding pseudogene located on chromosome X that is related to the protein-coding gene ITPK1 (inositol-tetrakisphosphate 1-kinase). Unlike the protein-coding ITPK1 gene—which encodes an inositol phosphate kinase involved in signal transduction and inositol metabolism—ITPK1P1 is not translated into a functional enzyme and plays no direct known role in cellular metabolism, signaling, or disease.
