Janus kinase and microtubule-interacting protein 2 (JAKMIP2) is a protein-coding gene product primarily associated with the Golgi matrix. It is implicated in the negative regulation of secretory cargo transit and serves as a structural scaffold of the Golgi apparatus. The protein interacts with microtubules and kinases but is not itself a kinase, microtubule, or classical drug target. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Diseases associated with JAKMIP2 include microcystic adenoma, and it has been identified as a tumor antigen in certain lymphomas. It is part of a family containing at least one paralog, JAKMIP1.
