Joint synovial fluid viscosity refers to the thickness and flow properties of synovial fluid, a viscous, non-Newtonian liquid found in the cavities of synovial joints. It primarily functions to reduce friction between articular cartilage surfaces during joint movement, providing lubrication and shock absorption.
