JUN divergent transcript (JUN-DT), also annotated as LOC101926907, is a human long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) gene transcribed in a region adjacent to the protein-coding JUN gene. The term "divergent transcript" refers to a genomic organization where transcription occurs in the opposite direction to a nearby protein-coding gene, often resulting in noncoding RNAs known as promoter upstream transcripts (PROMPTs) or upstream antisense RNAs (uaRNAs)[1].
