Target intelligence / Profile preview
The karyopherin alpha 5 pseudogene (ENSG00000217060, LOC100421093) is a noncoding DNA sequence related to the KPNA5 gene. While KPNA5 encodes a nuclear transport adapter protein (importin alpha family) that facilitates nuclear import of proteins with nuclear localization signals, the pseudogene form does not encode a functional protein and has no known direct biological or therapeutic role[9].
