Kelch like family member 36 (KLHL36) is a member of the KLHL family of proteins, which are characterized by having BTB/POZ, BACK, and Kelch domains. These proteins typically serve as substrate-specific adapters in Cullin 3-based E3 ubiquitin ligase complexes and can influence the degradation of target proteins via the ubiquitin-proteasome system. While several members of the KLHL family have established roles in cytoskeletal organization, ubiquitination, and Mendelian disease, the biological role and disease associations of KLHL36 remain poorly characterized. There is no current evidence that KLHL36 acts as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or has direct clinical relevance, and its interacting partners are not well described[1][3].
