Target intelligence / Profile preview
Keratin 18 pseudogene 43 (KRT18P43) is a human pseudogene related to the keratin 18 gene family. Unlike the protein-coding gene KRT18, which encodes a structural protein in intermediate filaments of epithelial cells, KRT18P43 does not produce a known functional product and is not implicated in normal biology or disease. There is no evidence that KRT18P43 serves as a receptor, enzyme, therapeutic target, drug interaction partner, or biomarker.
