Target intelligence / Profile preview
Keratin associated protein 10-13, pseudogene (KRTAP10-13P), is a member of the keratin-associated protein gene family but, as a pseudogene, is believed to be a non-functional DNA segment that does not produce a protein product. Keratin-associated proteins are structural proteins found in hair and wool, providing matrix support to keratin fibers, but pseudogenes such as KRTAP10-13P do not contribute to these structural or biological roles. There is no evidence implicating KRTAP10-13P in any human disease or as a therapeutic or diagnostic target.
