Keratinocyte-associated transmembrane protein 2 (KCT2), also known as Chromosome 5 open reading frame 15 (C5orf15), is a human protein coded by the C5orf15 gene. This protein is predicted to localize to cellular membranes and may be specifically enriched in keratinocytes, the predominant cell type of the epidermis, though its precise biological function remains uncharacterized and there is no strong evidence for a role in major cellular pathways or disease mechanisms to date[7][14][8][6].
