KIAA1191 antisense RNA 1 (KIAA1191-AS1) is a predicted long noncoding antisense RNA transcribed from the opposite strand of the KIAA1191 locus. Antisense lncRNAs, as a class, are known to participate in the regulation of gene expression at multiple levels, often by interacting with the corresponding sense mRNA or influencing chromatin structure, DNA methylation, and mRNA stability.
