Killer Cell Immunoglobulin-like Receptor 3DL2 (KIR3DL2)

Target
KIR3DL2
Molecular classification
Receptor, Type I transmembrane glycoprotein, Killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR)
01

Overview

KIR3DL2 is an inhibitory receptor expressed on NK cells and γδ T cells. It interacts with MHC class I molecules, including HLA-B27 and HLA-F, to regulate immune responses. Upon ligand binding, its ITIM-containing cytoplasmic tail mediates inhibitory signaling, suppressing effector function. KIR3DL2 also plays a role in delivering CpG DNA to endosomal TLR9, enhancing NK cell activation.
