Overview

KLC2 antisense RNA 1 (KLC2-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene, transcribed antisense to the KLC2 gene, located on chromosome 11 in humans[3]. As an lncRNA, its sequence does not encode a protein and its function is not well-characterized. There is currently no evidence that KLC2-AS1 participates in well-established biological pathways, disease processes, or responds to therapeutic targeting. No published literature describes its role in cell biology, disease, or pharmacology, nor have associations with drugs, biomarkers, or safety concerns been established. KLC2-AS1 is recognized as a gene entity in genomic databases, but functional or clinical significance remains unknown. If further characterization or large-scale genomics research becomes available, these fields should be updated accordingly. Currently, KLC2-AS1 represents a largely uncharacterized lncRNA gene[3].
