Target intelligence / Profile preview
KRT86 antisense RNA 2 (KRT86-AS2) is a human non-coding RNA gene located on chromosome 12, transcribed in antisense orientation to the KRT86 gene. Its biotype is long non-coding RNA (antisense RNA). As of current knowledge, there is no experimental evidence for its biological function, involvement in disease, biomarker utility, or role as a therapeutic target. Its existence and annotation as a non-coding RNA are supported by gene databases, but its functional relevance remains undefined[1][4]. It is not to be confused with KRT86, a well-characterized type II hair keratin.
