KXD1 antisense RNA 1 (KXD1-AS1)

KXD1 antisense RNA 1 (KXD1-AS1) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene identified by the accession numbers HGNC:56662 and NCBI Gene:128193285[1][5]. It is transcribed antisense to the KXD1 protein-coding gene but, as of current knowledge, no specific biological function, disease association, or clinical application has been described for KXD1-AS1. Like other antisense lncRNAs, it may have a role in the regulation of gene expression, possibly by hybridizing with its sense transcript and affecting transcription, mRNA stability, or translation[2]. There is currently no evidence to classify it as a therapeutic target or to identify any interacting drugs, known mechanisms of action, disease biomarker roles, or safety concerns[1][3][5].
