Overview
LAGE-1a is an isoform of the L antigen family member 1, also known as cancer/testis antigen 2 (CTAG2). It belongs to the ESO/LAGE family of cancer-testis antigens (CTAs), characterized by restricted expression in normal tissues (primarily testis) but aberrant activation in various cancers. It is expressed in various tumors including melanoma, lung carcinoma and is being explored as an immunotherapeutic target.
