Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ladybird homeobox 2 (LBX2) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a sequence-specific transcription factor involved in the regulation of transcription via DNA binding. It plays roles in early embryonic processes such as gastrulation, is predicted to regulate non-canonical Wnt signaling pathways, and acts in the positive regulation of convergent extension. LBX2 has been associated with human diseases such as lissencephaly (X-linked, type 2). It primarily functions in the nucleus and is a key gene for developmental processes[1][3][5].
