LARP1 pseudogene 1 (LARP1P1)

LARP1 pseudogene 1 (LARP1P1), also known as dJ221C16.7, is a pseudogene corresponding to the functional LARP1 gene. Unlike LARP1, which is an RNA-binding protein involved in post-transcriptional gene regulation downstream of mTORC1 and functions in translation control, LARP1P1 does not encode a functional protein and is not implicated in any known biological processes, disease mechanisms, or as a therapeutic target.
