LASP1 neighbor protein (LASP1NB), also known as LINC00672 or Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 672, is annotated as either a protein-coding gene or a long non-coding RNA, with current evidence pointing mainly to a lncRNA function[4][6]. It is located on chromosome 17 (17q12) and may play a key regulatory role in specific cellular contexts such as fibroblast–keratinocyte-like cell transitions[6]. LASP1NB has been associated with cancer biology, including a proposed role in p53-mediated gene suppression and increased chemosensitivity in endometrial cancer[4]. There are no approved drugs targeting LASP1NB directly, and its primary significance at present is as a potential biomarker or regulatory molecule rather than a conventional therapeutic target.
