Leucine-rich colipase-like protein 1 (LRCOL1) is a human protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12. It is predicted to act as an enzyme activator involved in digestion and lipid metabolism, and may have functional similarity to colipase, a protein that assists pancreatic lipase in lipid digestion. Despite being annotated as a paralog of colipase (CLPS), LRCOL1 is minimally characterized with no clear evidence of clinical relevance, druggability, or disease implication.
