LRRC74B is classified as a protein-coding gene, and human recombinant LRRC74B has a molecular weight of approximately 41.6 kDa[1][9]. It is considered an "other" protein under molecular classification as it is not classified as a typical receptor, ion channel, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor[9]. There is currently little evidence supporting its role as a therapeutic target, nor are there well-established biological functions, drug interactions, or biomarker or safety data available in the literature or protein databases[9][1]. The gene has been implicated in some disease contexts, including prostate cancer and twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, but these associations are unclear and not well-characterized[9]. LRRC74B is related to LRRC74A (its paralog), but precise functions and mechanisms remain largely undetermined[9].
